During winter season dry air steals moisture from the skin and makes it dry, which is not good for our skin. We need to take extra care during this season to keep our skin healthy and beautiful. Here are some tips to follow during winter season to get beautiful, healthy, soft & smooth skin.

Avoid Hot shower

During winter season, taking bath in hot water feels good but it steals natural oil and moisture from the skin. Taking hot shower makes the skin more dry. So avoid hot shower or taking bath in hot water. You can use lukewarm water for your face.

Moisturize Your Skin

After taking bath, immediately apply good moisturizer on your body as well on your face. Choose the right moisturizer according to your skin type. Do not forget to apply sunscreen with SPF 30 because winter sun can be damaging as summer sun. Hand, feet, elbows and knees are the areas, which have thin skin and tends to get dry very fast. So it is very important to apply moisturizer at night as well. You can also wear a cotton gloves and soaks to seal in the moisture till morning. Make sure to apply a good lip balm.

Hydrating Face Mask

During winters, hydrating face mask is also very important to keep your face healthy and beautiful. First take 1 tablespoon of fresh Aloe Vera Gel in that add 1 tablespoon of Raw Milk, 1 Tablespoon of Honey, 1 tablespoon of Cucumber paste and lastly add few drops of Lemon Juice. Mix all the ingredients together and apply it on your face and neck, leave it for 20 minutes and wash it with the normal water. After washing your face if required apply a good moisturizer on your face and neck. Repeat this process thrice a week before going to bed. This face mask will help to get rid of dry skin. It will hydrate your face and will make it soft and smooth.

Use Mild Cleanser/Face Wash

If you already have dry skin then using hard cleanser will make your skin more dryer. So it is advisable to use good mild cleanser, which does not contains heavy chemicals. You can also try home made cleanser.

Home Made Face Wash/Cleanser

If you have dry skin then take 1 tablespoon Besan in that add 1 tablespoon of Raw Milk, mix both the ingredients nicely. Now apply this mixture on your face and neck, wet your hands, scrub it for 1-2 minutes and then wash it with the normal water. If you have Oily skin then take 1 tablespoon Besan in that add 1 tablespoon of Rose water, mix both the ingredients nicely. Now apply this mixture on your face and neck, wet your hands then scrub it for 1-2 minutes after that wash it with the normal water.

Drink Water

Drink sufficient water to keep yourself hydrated. During winters we normally drink less water but we should remember that our skin needs hydration from inside as well. Make sure to include food items in your diet like watermelon, kiwi, apples, oranges, cucumber etc, which are high in water.
