Our everyday lives are so stress full and busy that we don’t get time for ourselves. This type of life can affect our health and well being.
But with every problem we get a solution free which we just need to find. I suggest you one solution which is worked for me. It is called introspection, meaning self-reflective or looking into ones self. Introspection or self reflection is a used to know about ourselves, our thoughts, feelings. Being introspective is a rare quality in most of the young adults , but making time to look at ourselves is not an easiest thing in our crazy lives.
To reflect within ourselves we need to ask ourselves some questions which will help us know ourselves better.
Write down the answers for each question separately and answer honestly.
They are as follows :
- Who am I?
- Who have I been?
- Who do I want to be?
These questions will help you focus on your identity and what you think you can do in life and it will help you set your goal accordingly.
- What do I want most in life?
- How can I get them?
These questions will help you know your priority and helps you to make your decisions wisely. After knowing your priority you would set a goal in mind based on the priority. for example. If your priority is your family, you would strive hard to earn for your family. It also helps you know What are the ways you could achieve your goal .
- What are my biggest barriers?
- How can I work on them ?
After you set your goals according to the previous questions , you need to think of the possible barriers which could affect your goal. Knowing the barriers is important so that you could be careful and learn to work on them to accomplish your goal.
- How can I invest in myself, my health, and my joy this year?
- What 3 things I am grateful for?
- What makes me happy?
- What would I like as a reward for my hard-work?
These questions reflect on what you should do to improve your self, and how much time you should take for yourself in a day. It also tells you what type of person you are and what you expect from others. After knowing so much about yourself , i guess you could make a great deal with how to deal with your everyday stress.
After getting the answers to all your questions , you need to look at all your answers every time you fell you cannot achieve something. Your solution would come ready . Hope this works for you as it worked for me .
